| Fishing - Mercer Lake is open year
round, and is home to some of the best
rainbow
trout fishing around. The ODFW stocks the lake several times each
spring, and the trout can grow to trophy size. In addition,
largemouth
bass have been taken in excess of 9 pounds! For the kids, the
yellow perch and bluegill fishing is just the ticket. Bring your own boat, or rent
one of our fishing boats. Bait, basic
tackle, and fishing licenses are available at our 'corner store'. There
is a covered fish-cleaning area on the grounds with a freezer to store
your catch. Map of Mercer Lake
Swimming - The water in Mercer Lake is cool and refreshing
during the summer months, and crisp and invigorating at other times
(darn cold, mostly). The lake averages 30 feet deep, with summer water
temperatures around 70 degrees. The resort has a private, sandy beach
that slopes gently into the water. The dock system provides a
protected swimming area for our guests, and swimming outside of this
area is discouraged as a safety precaution.
Resting - Whatever
floats your boat! Which reminds me...
Boating - With over 340 acres there's plenty of room to cruise.
Drop anchor in one of the many coves and enjoy the sunshine. You can
rent one of our fishing boats, or there is a boat ramp and moorage
available for a fee if you'd like to bring your own boat.
